Premedis is a study tool designed solely to prepare students for medical school entrance examinations. The content provided is for educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on Premedis for professional medical decisions.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of the Premedis® mobile application and the premedis.com website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. The Service is provided by Oliver Petrovič seated at Lublaňská 12, 120 00 Prague, Czech Republic, IČO 24436399 ("Premedis", "we", "us").
1. Accounts and Access
- 1.1 Age. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian agrees to your use of the Service and to any purchase.
- 1.2 One Person, One Account. Your account is personal to you. Sharing login credentials with other individuals (e.g., sharing a subscription) is strictly prohibited.
- 1.3 Device Limits. We reserve the right to limit the number of devices that can be logged into a single account simultaneously (e.g., 3 devices) to prevent abuse.
- 1.4 Termination. We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms, particularly regarding account sharing or data scraping.
2. Subscriptions, Trials, and Refunds
2.1 Apple App Store & Google Play Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the following terms apply:
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID (iTunes) or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.
- Management: You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings on your device after purchase. We cannot cancel the subscription for you.
- Unused Trial: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- EULA: Your use of the licensed application is also subject to the Apple Standard EULA.
Free Trials
We may offer free trials.
- No Payment Method Required: If we do not ask for payment details, your trial simply ends after the period.
- Payment Method Required: If we require payment details, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Purchases and Refunds
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under the store's terms. Prices, including VAT, are shown in the store before you buy. The store handles payment, receipts, and refund or withdrawal requests, including the EU 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google in your Google Play order history. For Google Play purchases you can also contact us, and we may issue a refund at our discretion.
3. Intellectual Property & Usage Rules
The questions, explanations and software of the Service are our own work; images are ours or used under licence (together, "Content"). Content and the question database as a whole are protected by copyright and the database maker's right. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own study for as long as you have an account; paid features are available for as long as your subscription is active.
Strict Prohibitions
You agree NOT to:
- Scrape, crawl, or mass-export data from the Service.
- Access our internal APIs programmatically or via unauthorized third-party clients.
- Copy, redistribute, or sell the questions or explanations.
- Reverse engineer the application source code.
4. Disclaimers & Liability
Service "As Is": We strive for high availability, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for downtime (e.g., server maintenance or outages) that may occur during your study time.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Premedis shall not be liable for indirect damages (such as failure to pass an exam). Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for harm to life or health, nor your statutory rights as a consumer.
5. Profile and Friends
Your username is public, so others can use it to send you a friend request. Do not use a name or username that impersonates someone else or Premedis, or that is offensive, and do not use friend requests or nudges to harass anyone. We may change such a name and limit or suspend accounts that misuse these features.
6. User Content & Aggregated Data
User Content: If you send feedback, report a question, or answer a survey, you grant Premedis a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to improve the Service. You agree not to send content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
Aggregated Data: We may generate anonymized, aggregated statistical data based on your use of the Service (e.g., general success rates, popular target schools). You agree that Premedis owns all rights to this anonymized data and may use it freely for service improvement, research, and marketing.
7. Complaints
Send complaints about the Service to info@premedis.com. We will handle them within 30 days. If you are a consumer and we do not resolve a dispute, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz), which handles out-of-court consumer disputes.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply; if you disagree, you can delete your account at any time.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Czech Republic. If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
